Bar Louie - The Avenue at White Marsh: A Trendy Gastropub with Hipster Vibe

My cousins and I went to Bar Louie’s yesterday to celebrate my birthday. We had a party of 5. Antwan the bartender was OUTSTANDING!! He was the host that seated us, the bartender for the whole restaurant and our waiter who took the orders. Antwan never gave us any attitude as if he was overwhelmed. He was polite and professional our whole time at the restaurant. This was my first time at this restaurant and I will definitely be back!! Thanks again Antwan for your service and hospitality!!

Delicious dinner, friendly folks, the inside was a little too cold with the AC for my taste (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) but for anyone who likes cooler temps, it would be perfect. We have eaten here a couple times and we loved our food. I was impressed that the salad dressings are homemade. The French onion soup is delicious. It has a peppery accent that’s different and nice. This is a photo of our meals just served. I am sure they’ll be delicious!

We took my friend there for her 50th birthday for some shots. Cheyenne and Antwan were absolutely amazing. They took care of us and made sure my friend felt special. We asked for a shot that was unfamiliar and Cheyenne found the recipe and made it perfectly. Then she recommended another shot that was amazing. Antwan then brought us that drink again. When Cheyenne had extra mix from another party's shots she made sure to give it to the birthday girl. Thank you for an awesome evening.

We enjoy this restaurant. Not too expensive and typically good food and drinks. This visit was not an exception. Service was slightly slower than normal,(our server was also a bartender) but very friendly as always. I had the mushroom swiss burger which I enjoyed. My wife had the fish sandwich which she doesn't recommend. She did enjoy the Grand Lemon Drop Martini and highly recommends.

Xavier was super awesome. He was the only bartender and did fantastic to be working alone. I know he isn’t in control of the late night happy hour menu but I wish there were food options and more drinks available. Great Job Xavier

Sequoia and Derrick bring ELITE customer service and made our 1st Bar Louie experience amazing! Mami wanted the espresso martini BAD and even with a broken espresso machine, Derrick was able to make things work out. We ordered the following during happy hour: Monkey shoulder shot: 7/10 cool, strong Havana classic mojito passion fruit: 7/10 fresh Fall spiced old fashioned: 10/10 perfect amount of sweet. Fall vibes for men Espresso martini: 9/10 good and strong Thai crispy Calamari: 9/10 should be tossed in sauce, still good. Spinach & artichoke dip: 10/10 wish there was more Truffle mushroom and asparagus flatbread: 8/10 way too much artichokes, very flavorful. Chicken quesadilla: 9/10 very good Overall a very good first experience and we will be returning. Check this place out for happy hour.
